One command adds DMWire to Claude Code. Everything below was run on a real install, and the outputs are the real ones (the key is hidden).

Add DMWire

Put your key in an environment variable first, so it does not end up in your shell history as plain text more than once:

Terminal
export DMWIRE_API_KEY="paste your dmw_live_ key here"
claude mcp add --transport http dmwire https://mcp.dmwire.ai/mcp --header "X-API-Key: $DMWIRE_API_KEY"
Real output
Added HTTP MCP server dmwire with URL: https://mcp.dmwire.ai/mcp to local config
Headers: {
  "X-API-Key": "[REDACTED]"
}

This adds DMWire for the current project only. To have it in every project, add --scope user to the command.

Check the connection

Terminal
claude mcp get dmwire
Real output
dmwire:
  Scope: Local config (private to you in this project)
  Status: ✔ Connected
  Type: http
  URL: https://mcp.dmwire.ai/mcp
  Headers:
    X-API-Key: YOUR_DMWIRE_API_KEY

To remove this server, run: claude mcp remove dmwire -s local

Inside Claude Code, /mcp shows the same status and the 25 DMWire tools.

Ask Claude Code

Prompt
Use DMWire: check which accounts are connected and how much of today's usage is left.
Real answer on a fresh account
You don't have any WhatsApp or Telegram accounts connected yet. On the free plan you have all of today's limits left: 50 of 50 sends and 10 of 10 new contacts.

Next: link WhatsApp or Telegram, see Quickstart step 2.

Let it run unattended

Claude Code asks before each tool call. To let it answer messages without asking, allow the DMWire tools you trust, for example in .claude/settings.json:

.claude/settings.json
{
  "permissions": {
    "allow": ["mcp__dmwire__list_accounts", "mcp__dmwire__get_usage", "mcp__dmwire__wait_for_messages", "mcp__dmwire__get_message"]
  }
}

We suggest keeping mcp__dmwire__send_message on ask until you trust what the agent writes.

Remove it

Terminal
claude mcp remove dmwire -s local
